Theotokis Kolovos, D.D.S.
Dr. Kolovos has practiced General Dentistry, at 9914 Venice Blvd., in Culver City, CA, for the last thirty eight years. After sharing the same office with Dr. Raymond O'Neal for many years, he remained at the same location, practicing on his own, after Dr. O'Neal's retirement in 2004.
Dr. Kolovos graduated from the UCLA school of Dentistry in 1978, with his Degree in Dental surgery (D.D.S.). He is a lifetime member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. Prior to becoming a Dentist, Dr. Kolovos, using his Biochemistry degree from UCLA, worked for a brief period, as a quality control analyst, for a pharmaceutical Company.
Dr. Kolovos is a quality oriented Dentist, that pays attention to detail, is compassionate and friendly with his patients, enjoys his work, and devotes many hours during the year improving his Dental education. As a general Dentist, he provides diverse treatment services to his patients, such as: teeth cleaning and bleaching, fillings, Implants, Cosmetic dentistry(crowns and bridges, veneers, bonding), endodontics ( root canals), orthodontics (Invisalign),and Oral Surgery (extractions).
In addition to his dental education, Dr. Kolovos has completed many courses at the UCLA extention, over the years, in diverse disciplines, including, Computer programming, Quantum mechanics, critical thinking,and languages,( Spanish, French and Italian). The languages, including Greek, Dr. Kolovos's native tongue, are very helpful with patients not proficient in English.
Dr. Kolovos, being single, devotes time outside of Dentistry for enjoyment and self improvement through diverse activities. He is a classical guitar player, with a side long time participation in Greek folk music groups, plays soccer, beach volley-ball and tennis. He is an avid reader of nonfiction and fiction, reads and writes poetry, and composes music to his lyrics.
But, above all, Dr. Kolovos is devoted to his dental patients, by stressing prevention, being gentle and compassionate,and providing excellent overall dental treatment.
